Jennifer Kadota has been appointed as Director of Catering and Events at Hilton Waikoloa Village

Hilton Waikoloa Village, a 62-acre Pacific playground located on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii’s Big Island, proudly announces Jennifer Kadota as the resort team’s new Director of Catering and Events. In her newly appointed role, Kadota will provide guidance to the entire Events team to enhance Hilton Waikoloa Village meetings and events offerings and advance the hotel’s catering services based on current trends in the hospitality industry. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Kadota most recently served as Food and Beverage Manager at Hilton Waikoloa Village, where she oversaw all group dining in the resort’s Food and Beverage outlets. Prior to that position, the University of Hawaii at Hilo graduate held executive-level roles for various hospitality brands, including the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles.

Jim Pedone has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at The St. Regis Princeville Resort

Troy Richardson has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Destination Residences Hawaii

Troy Richardson returns to Maui as director of sales and marketing of Destination Residences Hawai‘i, a resort management company specializing in exclusive vacation residences on Hawaii for more than 30 years. Richardson will focus on innovate sales, marketing programs and delivering authentic guest service experiences within its seven resort communities in Wailea and Makena including Wailea Beach Villas, Wailea Elua Village, Wailea Ekahi Village, Wailea Ekolu Village, Wailea Grand Champions, Polo Beach Club and Makena Surf. Richardson served as director of incentive sales at Hilton Waikoloa Village and national sales manager at The Ritz Carlton Kapalua before launching Opus Group International, a full-service meeting and incentive planning company in California. After successfully leading and growing Opus for four years, Richardson returns to Maui. Richardson’s relevant experience also includes roles as vice president of sales at Total Meetings Solutions and Pacific Partners International, and director of sales and marketing for Seaport Marina Hotel, The Riviera Resort, Doubletree, Embassy Suites and Golden Sails in California.

Bonnie Bise has been appointed as Public Relations Manager at Halekulani and Waikiki Parc

As Public Relations Manager, Bise will plan and direct all traditional, digital, and social media communications strategies. Robert Oneha has been appointed as Sales Manager at Halekulani and Waikiki Parc

Robert Oneha’s responsibilities will include the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to increase sales for existing and new accounts, conducting educational tours for international travel agents and local corporate clients and growing Australian, Canadian, European and local sales relationships. Prior to joining Halekulani and Waikiki Parc, Robert Oneha held the positions of Senior Account Manager and Key Account Manager while opening the permanent Honolulu office for e-commerce travel company Booking.com. Oneha has also held the positions of Director of Westbound Sales at Roberts Hawaii and Hawaii Market Manager at Expedia, Inc.

Lauren Rawlins has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Centric Waikiki

Kokua Hospitality, an independent hotel management company based in San Francisco, appointed Lauren Rawlins as director of sales and marketing at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. In her new role, Rawlins has been charged with creating and leading the property’s sales and marketing department, managing all sales, marketing and tourism relations, and working directly with the director of revenue at the 230-room boutique, lifestyle property. Rawlins brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, which opened in January 2017. At a young age, the Oahu native found her passion for hotels while attending the University of Hawaii’s School of Travel Industry Management. Prior to graduating with a degree in travel industry management, the hospitality professional interned with The Kahala Mandarin Hotel’s catering team and worked full-time in their food-and-beverage department.

Barrett De Santos has been appointed as Director of Leisure Sales at Turtle Bay Resort

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Barrett De Santos director of leisure sales for the landmark Turtle Bay Resort, a Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property located on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Danna Holck, vice president and general manager, made the announcement. Barrett De Santos brings 35 years of sales experience within the Hawaiian hospitality industry to his new position at Turtle Bay Resort. Previously he served as area director of domestic and international sales for Highgate Hotels Hawaii, a role in which he experienced significant success in contributing to revenue growth for the company. Prior to this, De Santos held the position of senior director of leisure sales for Castle Resorts & Hotels. Mr. De Santos is a graduate of Leeward Community College and Travel Academy. He resides in Honolulu.

Michael Jokovich has been appointed as Area Vice President and General Manager at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort

Jokovich has been with Hyatt since 1984 and brings more than three decades of experience to the 15-acre beachfront hotel. In his new role, he will oversee daily operations of the hotel and be responsible for managing all operational aspects at the property including sales, marketing, revenue management, food and beverage and future growth efforts. Most recently he was the area vice president and general manager of Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Austin, TX, where he oversaw Hyatt branded properties throughout the central US. Prior to that, he was Area Vice President and General Manager at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco.

Nicole L. Bonenfant has been promoted to Director of Human Resources at Halekulani

Halekulani, the luxurious Hawaiian hotel home to Oahu’s timeless legacy, is proud to announce new hires and promotions made in its Human Resources Department, effective immediately. With her incredible regard for customer and employee satisfaction, Halekulani has promoted Nicole L. Bonenfant to Director of Human Resources. In this new role, Ms. Bonenfant will be responsible for developing and administering Halekulani’s human resources policies, procedures and programs to reinforce the high standard of the company’s culture management, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation and organizational development. She will also act as the liaison for employment matters regarding Halekulani in collaboration with the Corporate Director of Human Resources. After having served in a number of other human resources roles since 1996 as Human Resources Assistant, Benefits Administrator and, her most recent position, Human Resources Manager, she is now working alongside her colleagues in the Human Resources Department, the Executive Committee and the hotel managers to further drive corporate awareness and maintain Halekulani’s excellent reputation in employee retention.

Colin Clark has been appointed as General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

Colin Clark, experienced hospitality leader, has been named General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. Clark will oversee the Resort as well as the Residential Community.After receiving his Hotel Business Management degree from Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland, Clark immediately began his journey in hospitality management at two luxury hotels in Scotland. Shortly thereafter, Clark moved overseas and joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts with a management position at The Regent Hotel Hong Kong (formerly a Four Seasons Hotel). Clark grew and affinity for Asian culture and hospitality, staying in the continent for nearly 15 years serving in various leadership roles at The Regent Singapore, A Four Seasons Hotel, Four Seasons Resorts Bali, and the former Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. A Hotel Manager position at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas brought Clark to the United States, from which he was quickly promoted to General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Hampshire in the United Kingdom.

Ryan Nomura has been appointed as Director of Outlets at Pacific Beach Hotel

Ryan Nomura serves as Director of Outlets where he oversees all front-of-house operations. Nomura previously held the position of Category Manager with HFM Foodservice and before that was a Project Coordinator and Restaurant Guest Service Manager at Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa on Oahu. He has held additional leadership roles at restaurants and hotels on Oahu including General Manager at Sergio’s Italian Table, Chef de Partie at Stage Restaurant, and Restaurant and Beverage Manager at Hilton Hawaiian Village. A Maui native, Nomura holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
