Kiana Beimes has been promoted to General Manager at OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger

Earlier this year, Beimes was appointed Hotel Manager of the OHANA Waikiki East by OUTRIGGER; before that she was Area Director of Front Services for the property in addition to the OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel. She was also Assistant Area Director for the same hotels and OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beach Resort and Front Office Manager at the Beachcomber. Beimes began her hospitality career in 2013 as an intern at OUTRIGGER's flagship OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort.

Sofia Vandaele has been appointed as Regional Director of Operations at InterContinental New York Barclay

Genevieve Belou has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Magnolia Denver, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Genevieve Belou is also a long-time hotel industry veteran with over 10 years of experience in sales and marketing for boutique properties. She will serve as the new Director of Sales for the Magnolia Denver and was most recently the Assistant Director of Sales for the property. Prior to that, she has worked in sales for the Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection, in Point Clear, Alabama, and Hotel Boulderado, in Boulder, Colorado. In addition to her work, she has been active in the meetings and events community and has served on the Board of Directors for Meeting Professionals International's Rocky Mountain Chapter(MPIRMC) since 2020. She recently won the Rising Star Award for Smart Meetings Magazine's Smart Women in Meetings and was the recipient of the MPIRMC's Rising Star Award in 2019 and President's Award of Excellence in 2021 and 2022.

Ancona brings more than two decades of experience in the hotel industry, and has held positions in every area of hospitality from front desk to sales to housekeeping manager. He was most recently the General Manager for the Hyatt House/Hyatt Place in Downtown Denver where he was named "General Manager of the Year" in 2022 by White Lodging. In his new role, Ancona will oversee all aspects of the hotel, emphasizing an elevated guest experience and bringing his passion for service to the role.

Ronni Anderson has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown

An accomplished sales professional with more than two decades of experience in the Greater Nashville market, Anderson previously held director of sales and marketing roles across several Nashville hotels. Her experience ranges from boutique lifestyle properties to large convention facilities and she most recently served as the regional sales and marketing consultant for a hospitality group overseeing properties across the Southern United States. Anderson is currently the Vice President of the Global Business Travel Association's (GBTA) Tennessee Chapter and serves on the global association's Government Relations Committee.

Rick Schatz has been appointed as General Manager at Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown

Schatz brings nearly twenty-five years of experience managing and operating hotels across the U.S. Most recently, Schatz served as general manager at the dual branded Hyatt Place Hyatt House Indianapolis Downtown, where he oversaw the hotel opening and daily operations of the 316-room property. Prior to that, he held resort manager and director of operations roles within lifestyle properties in Cape Cod and New Orleans. Schatz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Redlands.

Highline Hospitality Partners Acquires Homewood Suites by Hilton Eatontown

Highline Hospitality Partners (HHP), the hospitality investment platform launched by Highline Real Estate Partners (HREP), has acquired the Homewood Suites by Hilton Eatontown. The 131-room, extended-stay hotel, which is HHP’s eleventh property, is located in Eatontown, NJ in close proximity to the Jersey Shore beaches, major hospital systems, sports complexes and universities. The hotel is also located near Fort Monmouth, a decommissioned army base that is in the process of undergoing a transformational redevelopment.

MCR Acquires the Canopy by Hilton Charlotte Southpark

MCR — the country’s 3rd-largest hotel owner-operator — has acquired the Canopy by Hilton Charlotte Southpark, a five-story, 150-room hotel built in 2020 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Closed with new financing in place, the hotel was purchased at a 20% discount to MCR’s estimated replacement cost. This is the company’s sixth hotel in North Carolina and its first Canopy by Hilton hotel.

Conroe, Texas: North Houston’s Emerging “Leading Lady”

Conroe provides small-town living while located only 40 miles north of Houston, the fourth-largest city in the country. This quaint city is currently having a resurgence and is considered one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas. Conroe has a reported population of 103,035 as of August 31, 2023, a 36% increase from 2013, and it is only projected to grow. The town has ample land for new development, and the recent improvements are heavily influenced by the city development model of The Woodlands just ten miles south.With this location near The Woodlands and so much available land, Conroe is starting to experience spillover from that city and become popular as a "bedroom community," resulting in additional residential development. One such project in the city is the highly anticipated Grand Central Park, a 2,046-acre residential community development along Interstate 45 and South Loop 336, just five miles north of The Woodlands.
