Allison Grassetti has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa

Boasting an exceptional track record of achieving dramatic, record-breaking revenue increases through the execution of targeted, creative and well-planned sales strategies, Allison joins the Gateway team most recently from Crested Butte Mountain Resort, where she served as the National Sales Manager – working alongside Ken Stone before following him to Gateway Canyons Resort – as Stone previously held the position of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Crested Butte Mountain Resort.

Brandy Sawyer has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at Breckenridge Hospitality

Most recently, Brandy served as corporate director of sales for Sage Hospitality in Denver, Colorado where she executed strategy for the properties within the portfolio. Previously, she held a number of positions within Sage Hospitality and Marriott International, including director of sales and marketing for Residence Inn by Marriott Denver City Center and senior sales manager for Courtyard by Marriott Denver Downtown. Before his role with Breckenridge Hospitality, David spent nine years at Keystone Resort as group sales manager and associate director of sales. He has 23 years of hospitality industry experience.

David Sudduth has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge

Ken Stone has been named General Manager at Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa

Boasting more than 20 years of experience in resort operations and management, with a background in integrated marketing for a wide range of products and services, Stone most recently held the position of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Previously, Stone held the position of Senior Vice President for Telluride Ski & Golf Resort, where he was responsible for all commercial operations. Stone entered the hospitality field as Vice President of Durango Ski Corporation in Durango, Colorado, followed by a position as Director of Sales & Marketing for Sheraton Tamarron Resort, also located in Durango, then held a similar position at The Peaks Resort & Golden Door Spa in Telluride, Colorado.

Todd M. Felsen has been named General Manager at Cheyenne Mountain Resort

Todd Felsen was most recently managing director for The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa, located in Berkeley, California. He previously served as vice president for a Florida-based hospitality management company. Mr. Felsen has held the title of general manager for several luxury hotels and resorts in destinations within Florida and Jamaica. He began his career in the rooms department at major brand properties in Florida, Hawaii and Tennessee, eventually serving as director of rooms. Mr. Felsen received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami. He is relocating to Colorado Springs with his family.

Dennis Lesko has been named Vice President of Marketing at The Broadmoor

Mr. Lesko served in the same capacity for the Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond resort from 1993 until 2001. Before originally joining The BROADMOOR in 1993, Mr. Lesko represented Marriott Corporation as Director of Sales and Marketing in Hilton Head, North Carolina, as well as in Hawaii and at the Orlando World Center. He was also head of sales training for Marriott Corporate and twice was named as Director of Sales and Marketing of the Year for all Marriott properties. When he left The BROADMOOR in 2001, Mr. Lesko went to the Cloister at Sea Island as Vice President of Sales and Marketing before being named as Regional Vice President of Marketing with Ritz-Carlton Hotels.

Chris Claydon has been appointed as Senior Sales Manager at The Westin Westminster

Claydon most recently served as a Sales Manager at the Sheraton Downtown Denver Hotel. Prior to that, he worked in sales for the Vallagio at Inverness by Metropolitan Homes in Englewood, the Resort at Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe, Calif. and the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa in Vail. A graduate of Northern Arizona University, Claydon also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in Lonetree. From 2006-2007, he founded and ran Meetings For the Minds, a Littleton-based meeting site selection company.

Kyra Fox has been named Director of Sales at Hotel Teatro

Hotel Teatro, Denver’s luxury boutique hotel, today announces the selection of Ms. Kyra Fox as director of sales. With an extensive sales and marketing background, Ms. Fox most recently worked with Starwood Hotels and Resorts where she served as senior sales manager at the Sheraton Denver Downtown. Prior to managing sales at Sheraton Denver Downtown, Ms. Fox was the director of group sales at the Sheraton Premiere at Tyson’s Corner in Washington D.C. and senior sales manager at the Westin Crown Center Hotel Kansas City, both Starwood hotels.

Abdullah Vural has been appointed as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch

Boasting more than 24 years of globe-spanning experience in the hospitality industry, Vural began his illustrious career with the luxury brand in 2002. Over the course of nine years, he has continued to mark professional achievements within Food and Beverage, Operations, Finance and Sales Departments on the property level, as well offer his savvy to the Americas in a corporate vice president capacity. Vural brings with him an impressive history of impactful engagement with ownership groups, senior management, customers and employees via innovative service strategies and brand initiatives. Further, he has helmed many property openings on behalf of The Ritz-Carlton, including those in Los Angeles and Lake Tahoe, and served as the interim general manager at destination resorts, such as California’s Half Moon Bay and Arizona’s Dove Mountain.

Stephen Cummings has been named General Manager at Loews Denver Hotel

“In his 12 years with Loews Hotels, Stephen has demonstrated the kind of leadership that will help Loews Denver gain both market share and visibility in the Denver area,” said John Thacker, Regional Vice President of Operations, Loews Hotels. Stephen joins the hotel after holding the Executive Assistant Manager position at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Arizona. Throughout his tenure at Loews Coronado Bay Resort, 1999 to 2006, he held the roles of director of rooms, director of food and beverage and executive chef.

Bill Sipple has joined HVS Capital Corp (HVSCC) as Managing Director

HVS Capital Corp (HVSCC) announced that Bill Sipple has joined the firm as Managing Director. HVSCC is the investment banking division of HVS, the leading global hospitality consulting and services firm. The core areas of service at HVSCC are financing, investment sales, capital advisory, and the Special Hospitality Assets Group, focusing on the full-service, resort, extended-stay, limited-service, fractional ownership, and golf sectors. Sipple, who will be based in the firm’s Denver headquarters office, is one of the foremost experts in the hospitality industry, with 30 years of experience in hotel finance, development, branding, valuation, and operations. He succeeds Michael Sullivan as Managing Director. Sullivan will remain with HVSCC as a director responsible for the origination of debt, equity, and investment sales engagements.

Anne Frye has been appointed as Director of Sales at the Courtyard Denver Cherry Creek

Cole Mansfield has been appointed as General Manager at the Warwick Denver

Warwick Denver Hotel has announced the promotion of Cole Mansfield to the position of General Manager effective immediately. Mansfield joined Warwick Denver in 2008 as the Director of Rooms before stepping into the role of Interim General Manager last July. Mansfield has been instrumental in overseeing the final stages of the $25 million renovation that included the hotel’s guest rooms, lobby and second floor conference spaces.

John Egelhoff has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hotel Madeline

In his new position as Director of Sales & Marketing, Egelhoff will oversee all sales and marketing efforts for Hotel Madeline and the Inn at Lost Creek. He brings much to the table including two decades in similar capacities at highly rated luxury properties across the U.S.

Pam Smith has been appointed as Director Of Leisure Sales at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa announced today the addition of Pam Smith as the new director of leisure sales. Smith most recently worked at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa as the director of leisure sales. In addition to her previous roles at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa as director of leisure sales and director of sales, Smith also worked as manager of tour & travel at Copper Mountain Resort. During her professional career, Smith has been awarded both Peak Performer and Diamond Performer awards, Sales Manager of the Year and Chairman’s Club by Destination Hotels & Resorts. These accolades are awarded to sales managers who achieve their sales quotas and exceed 115% of their annual sales goal. A graduate of the University of Denver, Smith is married with two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, running, skiing and biking in her spare time.

Daniel Barr has been named General Manager at Hotel Madeline and the Inn at Lost Creek

Manhattan Hospitality Advisors, Inc. (MHA) has announced the assumption of management of two 5-star luxury hotels in Telluride, Colorado. Effective February 1, 2011, the recently renamed Hotel Madeline and the Inn at Lost Creek became the newest members of MHA's international hotel portfolio, along with 66 luxurious condominiums for sale. Both properties will continue operations uninterrupted throughout the 2011 ski season and beyond.

Jim Turner has been named General Manager at Hotel Teatro

Turner brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience to Hotel Teatro. Most recently, Turner was the director of operations for the Colorado Chautauqua Association, where he oversaw everything from historic cottage rentals, meeting and retreat venues, public events and programming, to maintenance of the 26-acre campus. Prior to that, Turner worked for Destination Hotels & Resorts for more than 12 years, where he was the general manager of properties including the Lion Square Lodge in Vail, the Doubletree Denver Southeast and the Doubletree Hotel at the San Francisco Airport, before moving to the Destination Hotels corporate office, where he served as senior vice president of operations.
