Sara Scott has been appointed to Director of Sales & Marketing at King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort. Scott has more than 20 years of experience working in the hospitality industry. Most recently, she was Director of Sales & Marketing at Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa. Scott also previously held roles at Marriott, Sheraton, and Hilton.

Tyler Parham has been promoted to Executive Chef at Union & Vine located inside Springhill Suites. Parham was most recently a Banquet Server at the property and is excited to bring a new spin on the Atascadero-based restaurant. Prior to his time at Springhill Suites, he was Head Baker/Manager at Back Porch Bakery and Café in Atascadero and Food Services Manager at Cava Robles RV Resort in Paso Robles.

Kelly Brown has been appointed as General Manager at The Forum Hotel

Kimpton tapped seasoned hospitality professional and Kimpton alumna Kelly Brown as its general manager for The Forum Hotel. A 16-year hospitality veteran, Kelly began her career with Kimpton, holding managerial roles at its properties in Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. She rose through the ranks at the boutique hospitality company to her most recent post as the general manager at the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel in Winston-Salem, NC. There she was awarded by the local Chamber of Commerce with an annual leadership award for her leadership on the property and in her community involvement. Now relocated to Charlottesville and settling into her new role, Kelly will lead the team at The Forum and oversee all aspects of the hotel's opening and operations.

Maine-based, family-owned hospitality group Uncommon Hospitality announce their newest project, The Longfellow Hotel , designed in partnership with New York-based design firm Post Company. Opening in Summer 2023, The Longfellow will be Post Company's first hotel in Maine delivering a distinctive design and new wellness offering to the city of Portland. The property will be the first independent full-service hotel to open in Portland in 20 years and is the namesake of famed Portland poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

John Kukreja has been appointed as General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center

Hilton announced today the appointment of John Kukreja as general manager of the new DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center. Expected to open in summer 2023, the 200-room DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center will offer the most hotel meeting space in the city, with more than 17,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom that can accommodate more than 1,000 guests.
