Phil Klaus has been appointed as General Manager at TownePlace Suites Indianapolis Downtown

Phil is moving back to his home state after serving in a variety of General Manager roles with Commonwealth Hotels since 2008. First working as the Opening Manager of the Candlewood Suites Indianapolis South, Klaus has provided stellar support to a number of hotels and brands, including Hilton, Hyatt and IHG. This is his first Marriott property since he managed the Courtyard Cincinnati Airport in 2017/2018.

Tammy joins Commonwealth Hotels for the first time in her impressive career. Bass has worked in several sales positions - her recent roles have focused on the training and development of hospitality sales professionals at various companies. Prior to joining Commonwealth she was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Indianapolis-based Blue Ridge Partners. Bass has vast knowledge of Marriott systems and is a certified Access Edge coach, making her a fantastic fit to open a hotel in downtown Indianapolis.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Opens its Doors in South Bend, Indiana

SpringHill Suites by Marriott in South Bend, Indiana announces today that it has officially opened. Dunn Hospitality to Develop Courtyard by Marriott Within $60 Million Mixed-Use Development Near Indianapolis

Thompson Thrift Retail Group (TTRG), a wholly owned company of Thompson Thrift, announced today that it has closed on the sale of the hotel pad at The Stations, a $60-million mixed-use development in the Indianapolis suburb of Fishers, Ind. The buyer, Indiana-based Dunn Hospitality, will spend $20 million to build a 145-room Courtyard by Marriott that it plans to open in the latter half of 2021.

Portrey joins White Lodging from Hospitality Specialists, Inc. where she spent the last three years in Milwaukee. She started her career with Marriott International as a senior sales manager. Stephanie is a proud Purdue University alumnae and earned her bachelor's degree in hospitality and tourism management with an emphasis in lodging and tourism.

Jamie Hopwood has been appointed as General Manager at Hotel Carmichael

Jamie Hopwood brings 25 years of hospitality experience to his new role as opening general manager of the immersive boutique hotel. Previously, Hopwood was general manager of high-end boutique hotels in Beaver Creek, Colorado for RockResorts and Vail Resorts Lodging. In addition to his general manager roles, Hopwood has been vice-president of operations for Arbor Lodging and has spent 10 years with White Lodging and seven years with Marriott International. As an eight-year resident of Carmel, Indiana, he is excited to be involved in this inspiring project that will create an exciting crossroad of community and culture.

Zach Tharp brings 25 years of hotel sales experience, previously as opening director of sales and marketing for the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House Downtown Indianapolis. He also brings experience as regional director of sales for Crestline Hotels, vice-president of sales for Arbor Lodging and area director of sales for Pillar Hotels.
