The 129-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Big Sky, Montana is now open with its upscale, stylish décor that offers flexibility, while creating a unique environment. Located at 145 Town Center Avenue, the all-suite Residence Inn Big Sky/The Wilson Hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Town Center Investment Holdings, LLC and managed by Urgo Hotels & Resorts of Bethesda, Maryland.

Montage International and CrossHarbor Capital Partners Break Ground on Montage Big Sky in Montana

Montage International, the hotel and resort management company behind the brand, Montage Hotels & Resorts, together with CrossHarbor Capital Partners LLC, is pleased to announce the groundbreaking of Montage Big Sky, which is set to open in 2021. Montage Big Sky will be the first ultra-luxury resort in the Big Sky, Montana market. Gunter Weber has been appointed as Executive Chef at The Chase Park Plaza Hotel

Adding depth to the hotel’s culinary team, Gunter Weber has been announced as the new Executive Chef. Classically trained in French cooking techniques, Weber went to culinary school in Switzerland and was selected for a three-year internship at the Grand Hotel Zermatterhoff, a 5-star boutique hotel. Weber honed his palate and passion for cooking while traveling the world working in Switzerland, Burma, and Washington, DC. Prior to joining Chase Park Plaza, Weber was the Chef de Cuisine at Hyatt Regency St. Louis. Recognized for his creative cooking and impressive skills, he served on the opening team for two Hyatt Regency hotels in California. As the Executive Chef at Chase Park Plaza, Weber will oversee the entire culinary and kitchen team.

Mimi Hall Gustafson has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown

Mimi Hall Gustafson joins the hotel as the Director of Sales and Marketing where she will be responsible for leading a dynamic Holiday Inn Downtown sales team in all sales strategies. Gustafson's past experience includes more than 20 years of leadership in sales and marketing for destination resorts including Director of Resort Sales and Strategic Partnerships at Northern Quest Resort and Casino in Spokane, Washington and Prestige Resort and Destinations as a Director of Regional Sales. Gustafson has a Bachelors of Science degree in Communications, Advertising and Public Relations, with a minor in Business from the University of Idaho.

LaRell Baldwin has been promoted to General Manager at The Crowne Plaza® Billings

The Hotel Group (THG) is pleased to announce that LaRell Baldwin has been promoted to General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Billings, Mont. For the past six years, Baldwin served as Director of Sales at the downtown convention hotel. THG is a nationally recognized Top 40 hotel company that currently manages and/or owns 26 properties representing 12 brands and one independent hotel across 10 states, including two additional Crowne Plaza hotels, one in Kansas City, Mo., and one in Anchorage, Alaska. Baldwin has been working in the hospitality industry for the past 12 years. Prior to joining THG, she served as senior sales manager at the Holiday Inn Grand Montana. Baldwin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix, and is certified as a Hospitality Sales Professional by the American Hotel & Lodging Assn. She is an active member of the Billings Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau and serves as Treasurer for the Yellowstone County Lodging Assn. Previously, she served on the Sales and Marketing Council of the Montana Inn Keepers Assn. and the Board of Directors for the Billings Symphony.

Tina Harlow has been appointed as CEO at The Resort at Paws Up

Tina Harlow, a 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry has recently been appointed as chief executive officer of The Resort at Paws Up, Montana’s premier luxury ranch resort. Situated on 37,000 acres in Montana’s Blackfoot Valley, Paws Up is known for “glamping” – glamorous camping –– and boasts 24 luxury tented accommodations, as well as 28 luxury vacation homes. In her new position, Tina will continue to enhance Paws Up’s reputation for first-class personalized service and oversee all resort operations. Tina most recently joins Paws Up from Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur, CA where she served as general manager. While at Ventana Inn & Spa Tina helped facilitate a $24 million dollar renovation and implemented an employee training and appreciation program to strengthen the hotel’s management team and guest service. Previously Tina was the general manager for several award-winning four-and five-star properties throughout the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean including The Lodge at Koele, Lanai, Hawaii; Mansion on Forsyth Park, Savannah, GA; Casa del Mar Beach Golf & Spa Resort, San Jose del Cabo, Mexico; and was assistant general manager at Caneel Bay Resort, St. John, USVI during her tenure with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.
