Cristiano Ronaldo hotel opens in New York
Portuguese soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has brought his budding hotel chain to the U.S. with the opening of the Pestana CR7 Times Square in New York.

Located on West 39th Street between 8th and 9th avenues, the 176-room hotel is near the Hudson Yards neighborhood as well as the New York Convention Center (Javits Center).
The hotel is home to the Seven Bar & Restaurant, a lobby-level venue serving healthy fare.
A lifestyle hospitality concept, Pestana CR7 (the "7" is Ronaldo's uniform number) was born out of a 2016 collaboration between Portugal's Pestana Hotel Group and Ronaldo.
The brand has hotels in Madeira (where Ronaldo was born and raised), Lisbon and Madrid.
The Pestana CR7 Times Square joins the Pestana Park Avenue in New York and the Pestana Miami South Beach in Pestana Hotel Group's U.S. portfolio.
