New 5BR villa, a second pool and a new restaurant enhance the accessible, and expansive, family-friendly Santorini resort.

Canaves Oia expands its Canaves Oia Epitome family-friendly and accessible resort on Santorini, Greece for 2023 season.

The newest property in the Canaves Oia portfolio, Epitome opened in May 2018, joining the family-owned-and-managed collection of luxury boutique hotels and villas on Santorini. Epitome is a departure for the brand, and unique to Santorini, in that it is set on a large property, built on flat land and welcomes families. It is the only property on the island that offers both sea and sunset views from the privacy of each of the 53 luxury suites and villas.

When Epitome opens for the 2023 season in April, the property will debut a second, large pool; as well as the Omnia Restaurant specializing in the freshest seafood from the sea just steps away; and a gorgeous new 5-bedroom villa.

Perched above the picturesque fishing village of Ammoudi, Epitome is inspired by traditional Cycladic architecture, with arched doorways nodding to the traditional "canaves" or wine caves that the other Canaves hotels are built around, but Epitome is a departure from Santorini's all-white aesthetic with its volcanic-rock walls and organic-modern design. The topography allows for easy accessibility for those with mobility issues, which is unusual for the town of Oia, Santorini, where it is not uncommon to climb down several sets of steps to access a hotel.

New pool

Epitome's new pool, the second on the resort, is a stunning addition to the property, with its beautiful Cycladic backdrop, unobstructed views and "floating" landscaping overlooking the Aegean Sea. Guests can enjoy the pool in privacy with private sunbeds and gazebos for relaxation. This upper pool is where breakfast will be served, and provides a serene setting for couples. The resort's lower pool offers shallow entry, ideal for guests with children.

New Omnia Seafood Restaurant

The new Omnia restaurant immerses the guests deep into a cinematic Aegean dining experience. Choreographed around the upper-pool "stage," Omnia playfully showcases a breezy fusion of local fresh fish and other treasures from the Archipelago.

Chef Tasos Stefatos curated a laid-back menu for seafood aficionados, intended to entertain, pamper the senses and encourage sharing. Inspired by his yearly travels, Chef Tasos fuses contemporary multi-cultural culinary influences with an Aegean twist. Omnia means "everything," and the menu embodies this philosophy with diverse influences from South America to Hawaii, Japan, Italy and Greece. From ceviche to poke, to tacos, tataki, pasta and saganaki, the menu is a playful pantheon of lavish catch-of-the-day concepts, mainly emphasizing white fish, tuna, mullets, molluscs and oysters, while also featuring some fine beef and sides. All raw materials and produce is sourced daily from the finest local markets. Omnia is open for lunch and dinner to hotel guests and Santorini visitors.

New 5-Bedroom Villa

Epitome's new 5-bedroom villa, the largest accommodation at the resort, with room for 14 guests, will deliver the ultimate in fine living with sleek contemporary design and comfort. From its expansive 4,844-square-foot indoor and outdoor living and dining areas, to its infinity pool and generous 3,444-square-foot terrace, the property is ideal for families and groups of friends seeking seclusion, privacy and unparalleled luxury. The villa also includes a private spa facility with massage room and furnished terrace overlooking the Aegean sunset. A private chef and butler services are available upon request.
