Accor, a worldwide leading hospitality group with 5,500 hotels in more than 110 countries, announces the expansion of its global network: Following the recent signing, the group will open its first hotel in Iceland together with its partner "Icelandic Hotels & Resorts / Hotels & Resorts - Investment & Development" in the second quarter of 2024. The ibis Styles Reykjavik will be located in the country's capital with excellent connection to the city center and the international airport, and will feature 57 rooms. Prior to the opening, the property which currently operates as Hótel Múli, will undergo an extensive renovation as part of the rebranding. For Accor, it is the second market entry in the Nordic region after the opening of the ibis Styles Copenhagen Ørestad in spring 2023.

The Hótel Múli has been on the market since 2016 and will undergo an extensive renovation before opening as ibis Styles Reykjavik in Q2/2024. Located at Hallarmúli 1 in Reykjavik, guests can reach the city centre within 15 minutes by public transport. Keflavík International Airport is a 50-minute drive away.
