Driftwood Capital, a Miami-based hospitality investment firm, has completed an $11 million renovation of the 226-room Marriott Raleigh Durham Research Triangle Park in Durham, North Carolina. The investment signals continued confidence in demand across the Raleigh-Durham hospitality market, and Driftwood Hospitality Management will continue to operate the hotel.
The renovation included a full refresh of guest rooms, the addition of an M Club lounge, an upgraded fitness center, and the conversion of the pool into expanded meeting space. The project also modernized the building systems by upgrading the HVAC and shifting from PTAC to VTAC units, with support from Hospitality Project Advisors, another affiliated company.
