Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston Unveils Reimagined Presidential Suite, A Bespoke Luxury Retreat Designed for Refined Escape

Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston, the city’s only Forbes Ten Star-recognized property, unveils its newly reimagined Presidential Suite, a thoughtfully redesigned residential-style retreat that redefines the pinnacle of luxury hospitality in the city. With sweeping skyline views, bespoke design details, and more than 2,000 square feet (185 square metres) of flexible living space, the transformation elevates the hotel’s most prestigious accommodation into a destination-worthy experience.

Crafted with intentionality for private retreat and elegant entertaining, the reimagined suite represents a significant investment in the guest experience and reflects the hotel’s continued evolution as one of Boston’s premier luxury destinations. Designed by acclaimed London design house Commune Well, the suite’s new interiors reflect Boston’s storied heritage and forward-thinking spirit, featuring custom, one-of-a-kind elements throughout the space, blending architectural beauty, handcrafted materials, and purposeful functionality.

A Vision Inspired by the Guest

The Presidential Suite spans more than 2,000 square feet (185 square metres) on the hotel’s 21st floor, offering sweeping curved floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of Back Bay and Fenway Park.

A Tranquil Retreat Above the City

At the heart of the redesign is a guiding philosophy that a residence should offer two essential environments: one for gathering, and another for quiet retreat.

Thoughtfully segmented, the suite unfolds as a private haven, featuring a luxurious primary bedroom, a luxury retail–inspired dressing room, a private wellness alcove, and an all-inclusive minibar; each element designed to support a seamless rhythm of relaxation and restoration. The spacious primary bedroom is positioned to capture some of Boston’s most exceptional views, offering a serene vantage point above the city. Guests will find private corners and intimate areas designed for quiet reflection, reading, or simply taking in the view.

The suite's showpiece walk-in closet inspired by luxury retail environments. Open shelving, glass-covered compartments, and dramatic lighting create a display-like experience, allowing guests to see watches, jewellery and accessories before opening drawers, making the daily ritual of dressing feel as luxurious as the suite itself.

The Presidential Suite can be expanded into a spacious three-bedroom residence, offering flexible accommodations ideal for families and large groups traveling together. A dedicated wellness alcove functions as a private workout studio equipped with Tonal fitness technology, or as a vanity space for personal stylists and beauty preparations. Meanwhile, subtle design innovations, such as artwork that rotates to reveal a television, allow the suite to seamlessly transition between relaxation, entertainment, and work.

Throughout the suite, custom finishes reinforce the sense of thoughtful luxury. The wood flooring, sourced from Italy, was selected for its precise tone and grain pattern, subtly mirroring the soft curves of the building’s distinctive triangular architecture. An intimate reading nook offers a cozy library-style corner designed for quiet moments or enjoying the morning newspaper.

An Elegant Back Bay Residence for Effortless Hosting

A full Molteni kitchen and bar anchor the space with functional intentionality married with unparalleled artistry. Featuring elegant stone finishes and precision craftsmanship, the Molteni kitchen includes a professional range, full-size refrigerator, full bar, and high-end espresso machine. Yacout personally selected the materials during a visit to the brand’s London showroom, choosing every detail, from stone countertops and wood finishes to drawer liners and lighting.

Inspired by Boston’s storied heritage and pride in local legacy, a standout centrepiece in the suite’s dining area is a rare Zuber & Cie hand-blocked mural, a centuries-old French artwork depicting American history and known for its intricate craftsmanship. The rare wallcoverings, which can also be found in the Diplomatic Reception Room at the White House, depict iconic moments of George Washington riding victoriously into the city of Boston, paying homage to the city’s rich history.

A fully customizable reception area offers a versatile space that guests can truly make their own. Whether hosting an elegant gathering with a grand piano, or transforming the room into a private yoga or fitness retreat, the space adapts effortlessly to the moment. Beautiful nesting tables provide the perfect setting for striking floral arrangements throughout the space, balancing beautiful displays with everyday functionality.

Artistry, Craftsmanship, and Outstanding Design Meet Unparalleled Service

Characterized by a deep sense of purpose and personalization, the newly reimagined Presidential Suite offers an extraordinary vantage point from which to experience the city, whether hosting an unforgettable gathering or enjoying a quiet moment above the skyline.
