Hilton San Diego Bayfront announces the completion of its multimillion-dollar renovation, with the unveiling of 165,000 square feet of newly refreshed meeting and event spaces, as well as seventeen redesigned suites. Located along San Diego Bay and within walking distance of the city’s top attractions, the hotel continues to serve as a premier destination where business meets leisure, offering best-in-class meeting spaces, modern amenities, and an iconic Southern California setting.
The renovation vision focused on transforming the meeting and event spaces, along with the property’s Bayfront suites, to better meet the needs of today’s discerning traveler. The refreshed spaces embrace a coastal aesthetic, while upgraded furnishings and amenities elevate the overall guest experience, creating energizing environments designed to spark authentic connections and place guests at the center of every moment.
Led by global design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates, the renovated meetings and event spaces introduce a versatile collection of indoor and outdoor venues for everything from intimate board meetings to multi-day conventions. Inspired by the hotel’s waterfront setting, the design reflects the interplay of sun and sea, blending warm wood tones, layered textures, and a serene neutral palette with accents of cerulean, sapphire, and ultramarine.
Contemporary furnishings, sculptural details, and curated coastal-inspired artwork add depth and sophistication, while reimagined wall finishes and statement chandeliers create a polished yet inviting atmosphere. The result is a refined, adaptable backdrop for a wide range of events, including executive meetings, conferences, weddings, and milestone celebrations.
Designed for modern corporate and incentive programs, event lighting has been upgraded for seamless presentations and evening programming. Linen-less tables, new tableware, and a partnership with La Colombe coffee further complement the on-property meeting experience.
Beyond the ballroom, expansive outdoor venues, from the 1.3-acre Bayfront Park to poolside patios and terraces, offer a range of open-air settings for receptions, awards dinners, and networking events.
In addition, seventeen of the hotel’s Bayfront Suites have been refreshed with a coastal-inspired design that reflects the city's laid-back spirit. A soothing palette of soft neutrals, ocean blues, and natural textures accompany the floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the spacious suites with natural light. With separate living and sleeping areas, the suites offer a comfortable home base for business and leisure travelers, extended stays, family vacations, and special occasions.
The Horizon Experience, an elevated guest offering, will launch soon, offering guests a high-floor room with premium views, valet parking, priority check-in, daily breakfast for each registered traveler, turndown service, upgraded bath amenities, a branded tote bag and departure gift and late check out.
