La Vie Hotels & Resorts to Manage Le Méridien Lindeman Island Resort & Spa in Queensland’s Whitsundays
Marriott International has entered into a formal agreement with Well Smart Group and La Vie Hotels and Resorts to introduce the Le Méridien brand to Lindeman Island in Queensland's Whitsundays.
The signing represents a significant moment for La Vie Hotels and Resorts, the property's appointed management company, and marks their inaugural collaboration with Marriott International as part of the tripartite agreement.
Expected to reopen in late 2027 following a transformative AU$60 million redevelopment by Singapore-based real estate company Well Smart Group, the resort will bring the globally recognised Le Méridien brand to the Whitsundays for the first time.
Located on a spectacular 70-hectare beachfront site on Lindeman Island, the resort is poised to become one of Australia's most exciting luxury lifestyle destinations. The property, which originally closed in 2012, is being reimagined as a contemporary island retreat blending sophisticated design, elevated hospitality, and immersive guest experiences.
Under La Vie Hotels & Resorts' management, Le Méridien Lindeman Island Resort & Spa is expected to feature 200 premium guest rooms and 9 suites, two restaurants, a lobby lounge and bar, extensive event facilities, a resort pool, fitness centre, Explore Spa by Le Méridien, tennis courts, Kids Club, and a range of recreational offerings including water sports, indoor golf facilities, and an archery range.
Le Méridien Lindeman Island Resort & Spa will become the second Le Méridien property in Australia and will join the brand's global portfolio of more than 120 hotels and resorts worldwide.
