The Broome Hotel New York

Broome Hotel Announces Reopening Featuring An-All New French-Mediterranean Bistro and Bar, New Interiors and Reimagined Rooms and Suites In The Heart of Manhattan’s Soho Neighborhood

Broome, a 14-room-and-suite boutique hotel on Broome Street in SoHo, Manhattan, announces the next chapter of the property, beginning with the opening of its new restaurant and bar in July 2026, followed by its newly reimagined rooms and suites in September 2026.

Centered around one of Manhattan's most remarkable inner courtyards, Broome has long offered a rare sense of calm in the heart of downtown New York. This next chapter builds on that spirit, transforming the intimate property into a true gathering place for hotel guests, neighbors and the broader SoHo community.

Interiors were envisioned by Sonoé Architecture & Design Studio, who conceived Broome as a sequence of experiences rather than a single design statement. Set within a nearly 200-year-old SoHo building, the renovation unfolds in layers, beginning with the property's historic red-brick façade and moving gradually from the collective energy of the street toward the intimacy of private retreat. At its center sits a hidden courtyard, the social heart of the hotel, linking the lobby, bar, restaurant, and guest rooms into a single narrative while each space retains its own distinct mood. Public rooms are richly layered with art, books, and collected objects for an atmosphere that feels gathered over time rather than staged, while guest rooms shift register entirely, conceived as the imagined home of a well-traveled New Yorker, favoring warmth, texture and comfort.

Design is central to Broome's identity as a quiet hideaway in the heart of bustling SoHo, offering boutique amenities, a Parisian-style café and an open-air courtyard. Rooms and suites are outfitted with Citiquiet soundproof windows that mute the vibration of the streets below. Several rooms look out onto the hotel's private patio, and the Penthouse suite extends the outdoor experience further with a private terrace and balcony. Together, these details reinforce Broome's identity as a tranquil oasis — a hotel designed to feel worlds away from the city, even while sitting in the middle of it.

At the heart of Broome's transformation is an entirely new restaurant concept, Broome Restaurant. Opening to the public in July, Broome Restaurant is inspired by the sophistication of New York, the warmth of the Mediterranean, and the timeless charm of the French countryside.

The menu is rooted in classic French culinary tradition and shaped by the seasonality and vibrant flavors of Mediterranean dining. Built around seasonal produce, seafood, grilled meats, fresh herbs and a thoughtfully curated wine list, the menu is designed for both everyday enjoyment and special occasions. Open from morning through evening, the restaurant will serve breakfast and dinner at launch, with brunch service to follow in a later phase, allowing the space to function as a destination for coffee, business lunches, afternoon aperitifs, and dinner alike.

Central to the experience is breakfast, reserved exclusively for hotel guests and their personal guests in order to preserve the intimate atmosphere that defines Broome. Served in the courtyard, the offering includes a shared breakfast board of sourdough, brioche, croissant, daily pastries, and a selection of cheeses, alongside a choice of main course — from Eggs Benedict with cured salmon and toasted brioche, to a truffle scrambled croissant, Japanese soufflé pancake, or a traditional malabi milk pudding with rosewater and pistachios.

The reopening marks the most significant evolution in the property's recent history, and the formal launch of 18 Main's flagship New York City property, with plans to open several additional hotels in select U.S. cities over the coming years. Founded by Managing Partner Tom Intrator, 18 Main anchors Broome as a SoHo destination in its own right, introducing a new food & beverage program, a refreshed guest experience, and a renewed identity — all under the direction of Liron Sanado, who has led operations at the property for the past two and a half years.

The vision behind Broome's next chapter is guided by Liron Sanado, a hospitality professional with over a decade of experience across fine dining, restaurant development, and hotel operations.

Carson Ray is the General Manager of Broome's restaurant, bringing years of experience across New York City's hospitality industry. Having spent much of his career behind the bar, Carson developed a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, building relationships, and thriving in high-volume environments. Known for his hands-on leadership style and love of hospitality, he helped develop and launch Broome's food and beverage program, shaping the restaurant's operations, partnerships, and guest experience.
