Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort Unveils £2 Million Investment Programme
The Norfolk resort completes an exciting transformation, from refreshed bedrooms and a new stylish holiday retreat for groups to a stunning event terrace and spa lounge, as it sets its sights on growth within the leisure, weddings and corporate market.
Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort has completed a £2 million investment programme that has transformed the property, signalling a bold vision for the resort’s next chapter.
At the heart of the investment is a complete refresh of 112 guest bedrooms. Every room now features a state-of-the-art air-conditioning and climate-control system, ensuring year-round comfort. Guests will also notice refreshed lighting schemes, upgraded bathrooms and USB-C charging points.
Opening in July 2026, Dunston Hall's new three-bedroom holiday retreat, named The Bolthole at Dunston, is the standout addition to the resort's accommodation inventory.
The self-contained space accommodates up to 10 adults, or 10 adults and 2 children and offers a genuinely premium group experience. It features cosy décor inspired by the beautiful Norfolk countryside, a generous living space and a fully equipped kitchen with a central dining table overlooking the championship golf course.
The Bolthole at Dunston can be booked on a self-catering bed-and-breakfast or dinner bed and breakfast basis. For those seeking a fully elevated stay, a private chef option will also be available, making it equally suited to a group golf weekend, a family celebration, a special birthday to include spa experiences, or a luxury pre-wedding get-together.
Dunston Hall's flagship event space, The Sunningdale Suite, has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, with upgrades to the staging, a complete overhaul of the toilets and meeting areas, and freshly decorated interiors.
What was once a plain paved area has been completely transformed into an impressive drinks terrace with decking, seasonal lighting, planting, and a stylish seating area overlooking the golf course. Perfectly positioned for summer weddings, receptions, and corporate dinners, the terrace brings a 'wow factor' to Dunston Hall.
The resort's bridal suite has also been elevated to a high-end sanctuary. Located within the original manor house and boasting views across the golf course, the suite is now fully refurbished and features a statement roll-top bath and luxury finishes throughout.
In the spa, a new relaxation lounge provides guests with a tranquil space to unwind post-treatment. The spa, brought back in-house two years ago, continues to grow as a destination in its own right, with further state-of-the-art facilities planned.
The investment comes at a significant moment for the region as Norwich was recently crowned the UK winner in The Sunday Times Best Places to Live guide, a title that's putting the destination firmly on the leisure travel map and fuelling demand for premium experiences across Norfolk.
The hotel team is primed and ready to welcome guests across the summer season, and even more so, with an ever-evolving events programme for 2026 that includes outdoor cinema nights with summer screenings of Dirty Dancing and The Greatest Showman.
Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is already looking ahead to the next phase of development, with proposals in progress for adventure golf, padel courts and outdoor lodge-style accommodation.
