Leonardo Hotels grows in France by acquiring a hotel on Lake Geneva
Leonardo Hotels Central Europe will strengthen its presence in France when it takes over the former Hilton Evian-les-Bains on Lake Geneva with effect from 1 August 2026. The hotel will initially operate under the name of Hotel Evian-les-Bains by Leonardo Hotels and will undergo extensive renovations whilst remaining open for business.

It boasts 170 rooms and suites, many of which offer views of Lake Geneva or of the Alps. Facilities include a restaurant with a lakeside terrace, a bar, a heated outdoor pool, a gym and a health and beauty spa area. Conference rooms and an Executive Lounge provide additional amenities for events and business stays.
As part of the planned modernisation programme, the hotel will be incorporated into the company’s lifestyle brand as NYX Hotel Evian-les-Bains by Leonardo Hotels. This concept aims to deliver a contemporary hotel experience which brings together urban design, creativity and local art in a harmonious way.
Evian-les-Bains is situated at the foot of the French Alps directly on the shores of Lake Geneva and is a significant leisure and business destination. Both the town centre and a ferry connection to Lausanne can both be accessed on foot in a few minutes. The location remains attractive all year round thanks to its combination of lakeside and Alpine settings in the French-Swiss border region.
