APT. Stamford Place
The Countdown Begins to Stamford Place’s September Opening, Singapore’s Newest Lifestyle Destination in City Hall
This September, a familiar landmark in Singapore's Civic District will begin a new chapter as Stamford Place, a vibrant mixed-use destination that blends living, working, dining, and social connection under one roof. Bringing together APT., a new boutique serviced apartment, hospitality-inspired workspaces by The Great Room by Industrious, and a carefully curated mix of dining, retail and art.
At the corner of Stamford Road and Hill Street, Stamford Place occupies the former Stamford Court, a familiar four-storey landmark crowned by the clock tower that has kept watch over the neighbourhood since 1996. Its story stretches back even further to Eu Court, the 1920s Art Deco apartment building commissioned by philanthropist and entrepreneur Eu Tong Sen. Layered with memories of a changing city, Stamford Place honours what came before while giving the site renewed purpose, allowing its history to live on as part of Singapore's evolving story. The opening will mark a new chapter in the evolution of Singapore's Civic District, reimagining a familiar landmark as a destination where heritage, hospitality, culture and community come together.
A New Neighbourhood Hub Takes Shape
Stamford Place will be activated by eight food, beverage and retail spaces on the ground level, bringing fresh energy to the district. The handpicked line-up will include well-loved names such as Blue Label Tavern, offering stone-fired pizzas and a new dry-rubbed rotisserie chicken; a new Japanese dining concept, Yoruya; and Cold Storage On The Go, offering convenient access to quality grab-and-go options and everyday essentials for those living and working in the neighbourhood. An array of new concepts will be announced in due course.
Anchoring the ground-floor line-up is Stamford Social, an all-day meeting place inspired by the relaxed café culture and bistros of Europe. Relaxed yet refined, it pairs thoughtful hospitality with a carefully considered and expertly crafted menu, creating an environment where people gather naturally — whether for a morning coffee, business lunch, after-work drinks, dinner with friends or a celebration. More than a restaurant, Stamford Social aims to become a neighbourhood institution and an integral part of the Stamford Place experience.

Giving a Civic District Landmark New Life
Stamford Place is brought to you by Elevate Capital Group and PGIM, whose shared vision is to reposition the former Stamford Court as "a place shaping the future of urban living in Singapore," while retaining the character of its landmark architecture. The partnership brings together Elevate Capital Group's experience in lifestyle-led asset transformation and PGIM's global real estate investment capabilities.
The design team behind the project is Singapore-based interdisciplinary practice Ministry of Design, in collaboration with Zarch Collaboratives. Together, the design teams have reimagined the landmark through a contemporary interpretation of its architectural heritage, taking inspiration from the building's iconic clock tower. The geometry, materiality, and measured rhythms of horology inform the design language throughout, creating a unifying thread that connects the site's past with its next chapter. Art will further enrich the experience through a partnership with art and design consultancy The Artling.
Stamford Place and APT. will open in September 2026, with Stamford Social welcoming its first guests the following month. Additional announcements on dining, retail, cultural programming and design collaborations will be made in the lead-up to launch.
