Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today announced the signing of Maravé Manuel Antonio, LXR Hotels & Resorts, marking the brand’s upcoming debut in Costa Rica and a significant step in Hilton’s continued luxury expansion across the Caribbean and Latin America. Located on a nearly 40-acre estate of rare, titled beachfront that descends from rainforest ridge to 650 feet of Pacific beachfront, the resort will blend 173 accommodations, including dedicated hotel guest rooms, suites and fully furnished branded residences, with sweeping views of the ocean, surrounding mountains and rainforest canopy. The property is expected to open in 2029.

With its blend of biodiversity, dramatic coastline and established appeal among luxury travelers, Manuel Antonio is a natural fit for LXR Hotels & Resorts, Hilton’s curated collection of independent, spirited luxury properties known for distinctive character, bespoke service and a deep connection to some of the world’s most alluring destinations. The project’s residential component will further expand Hilton’s branded residential presence in sought-after resort markets, bringing Hilton’s global hospitality standards to a destination designed to feel unmistakably rooted in Costa Rica.

Minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park, Costa Rica’s most visited national park, the resort will welcome guests and residents to one of the country’s most celebrated coastal ecosystems.

Luxury accommodations and branded residences designed for immersion

The seven-story resort will feature 57 accommodations, including 42 ocean-view guest rooms designed to immerse guests and owners in the surrounding rainforest, mountains and coastline and 15 private bungalows set on the natural hillside, each offering a secluded sanctuary with its own plunge pool and sweeping sunset views of the Pacific.

Maravé Manuel Antonio, LXR Residences will also feature 116 fully furnished luxury residences overlooking the Pacific Ocean. As the first LXR Residences in Latin America, the community offers one of Costa Rica’s few opportunities to own branded luxury homes. The development includes 66 private villas, 46 oceanfront condominiums and four penthouses.

Thoughtfully designed by renowned Costa Rican firm Carazo Arquitectura the resort follows the region’s natural topography and preserves its lush greenery, creating a private, expansive retreat where each structure feels immersed in the landscape rather than set apart from it. Engineered to be sustainable and mindful of the surrounding rainforest ecosystem, the resort is expected to include the largest mass timber structure in Costa Rica, with each key positioned to capture a clear line of sight to the Pacific. Interiors by Chicago-based Curioso feature natural stone, warm wood finishes and expansive walls of glass that blur the line between indoor and outdoor living.

Amenities designed to elevate the stay

Maravé Manuel Antonio will offer a range of amenities that connect guests and residents with the natural beauty, local culture and coastal setting of Manuel Antonio.

Wellness, culinary and leisure experiences will move naturally with the rhythm of the Pacific, from restorative treatments and active days outdoors to coffee in the morning, open-air dining, sunset cocktails and unhurried time by the water.

With direct access to the resort’s beachfront, the Beach Club will serve as the resort’s social hub, bringing together multiple pool environments, oceanfront dining, signature bars, beach and pool cabanas, poolside lounge areas with attentive service and concierge support from morning through evening.

Signature restaurants will include two chef-led venues showcasing Costa Rican and international culinary perspectives, drawing on Manuel Antonio’s sea-to-table sourcing and the rainforest’s heritage ingredients. All-day and poolside service will feature elevated resort cuisine with effortless indoor-outdoor dining from breakfast to late evening.

The MARAVÉ Speakeasy Bar will offer an intimate experience and a must-see setting envisioned as the resort’s best-kept secret, with reserved seating priority access for residence owners and guests. The curated bar program will feature spirit-forward classics, native Costa Rican botanicals and a tightly edited late-night menu.

Guests and residents will also have access to an expansive spa and wellness sanctuary designed to restore body and mind in close connection with the surrounding nature, along with a premier fitness center offering strength, mobility and recovery facilities with jungle and sea views.

Family-friendly programming will include a dedicated youth and activity club with indoor and outdoor experiences timed to the rhythm of resort life.
