The Lofton Hotel Minneapolis, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
The Lofton Hotel Completes Comprehensive Renovations
The Lofton Hotel, a 248-room lifestyle hotel located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, proudly announces the completion of its comprehensive renovation. The hotel now features a reimagined lobby with a new Italian-inspired dining concept, Mezzo Mezzo, and enhancements to guest rooms and amenities throughout the property. In tandem with the renovation, Marcus Hotels & Resorts also announces the promotion of Aaron Slattery to general manager of The Lofton Hotel.
Reimagined First Floor
Drawing inspiration from Minneapolis’s internationally renowned parks and green spaces, The Lofton’s lobby has been reimagined with a whimsical, nature-inspired essence. From the natural tones, custom designed flooring, welcoming seating, and lush greenery, the lobby has evolved into a space that feels more at home with the area’s natural beauty.
Within the refreshed lobby, guests will find the recently opened Mezzo Mezzo, the hotel's newest dining destination. Italian for "half and half," Mezzo Mezzo is equal parts coffee shop, pizzeria, and bar, offering an upscale yet approachable atmosphere that invites travelers and locals alike to sip, savor, and socialize from day to night.
Mornings at Mezzo Mezzo begin with locally roasted Spyhouse coffee and artisan pastries before transitioning to Roman-style pizza, house-made focaccia sandwiches, and rotating Italian desserts. Dishes are prepared in-house or locally sourced using the freshest ingredients, while the bar serves classic Italian cocktails alongside creative signature offerings.
Mezzo Mezzo's central location makes it an ideal destination for a morning coffee, post-work cocktails and light bites, an after-dinner espresso or dessert, or drinks before a concert, game, or performance.
Enhanced Guest Rooms and Amenities
Extending the nature-inspired design found in the lobby, all 248 guest rooms and suites have been restyled with custom flooring and drapery, updated furnishings and thoughtfully curated lighting to elevate each stay. Guest room corridors have also been upgraded to create a seamless transition throughout the hotel.
The Lofton Hotel's sixth-floor fitness center was significantly expanded to serve as an additional amenity for guests. Overlooking the Target Center and First Avenue, the newly renovated space has doubled in size and now features state-of-the-art equipment from Precor and Peloton, as well as dedicated areas for mobility and flexibility training.
In addition, the hotel's popular fourth-floor restaurant, Cosmos, has been refreshed. The space now features updated lighting, drapery and furnishings to add additional gathering areas, along with an updated bar area for an elevated look.
The Lofton Hotel's New General Manager
