JOIA Rose Hall Undergoes Full Renovation, Bringing a New Expression of Jamaican Luxury to Montego Bay

JOIA Rose Hall, Iberostar Group's luxury, adults-only, all-inclusive beachfront resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica, will welcome guests back on December 1, 2026, following a full renovation. The transformation marks a new chapter for the brand's JOIA luxury collection segment, introducing reimagined interiors and guest experiences that celebrate the culture, character and natural beauty of the destination.

Located along Montego Bay's Rose Hall Corridor, approximately 10 miles from Sangster International Airport, the resort's redesign was developed in collaboration with award-winning architecture and interior design firm El Equipo Creativo. The design blends tropical influences with natural textures, lush landscaping and locally inspired details to create a contemporary retreat with a distinctly Jamaican character.

A renovation that goes beyond the ordinary

The renovation brings a renewed look to the resort's arrival areas, lobby, staircase, solarium, poolside terraces and beachfront spaces. Inspired by the golden age of travel, the redesign blends local textures, vibrant patterns, and effortless eleganceto create a warm, joyful, and immersive luxury experience. The resort's 295 suites, including Butler Suites, Swim-up Suites and Penthouse Suites, have also been reimagined as private retreats featuring eclectic furnishings, locally inspired patterns and private terraces. Twenty-four-hour room service adds another layer of personalized comfort.

A new expression of Jamaican hospitality

Jamaican culture and personalized service are central to the renewed guest experience. Along the resort's stretch of beach, a dedicated Pool Concierge will offer personalized service and thoughtful touches, from chilled rum cocktails to poolside dominoes and music-led experiences.

Guests can enjoy four swimming pools, including an infinity pool ideal for sunset views. The Caribbean Sea provides opportunities for kayaking, catamaran sailing, snorkeling, or windsurfing. Additional amenities include Spa Sensations, a fully equipped Fit & Fun gym, an outdoor running trail, tennis, pickleball, golf, a turfed football field and a dive center. Meeting facilities also offer spaces for gatherings and special events in a beachfront setting.

Culinary discovery, crafted cocktails and the rhythm of Jamaica

Dining is central to the JOIA Rose Hall experience, where an exceptional collection of restaurants and bars blends international culinary artistry with the vibrant spirit of Jamaica. Featuring nine dining venues, including five specialty restaurants, and four bars.

At its heart is Oriole, the signature beachfront restaurant celebrating authentic Jamaican classics and Caribbean flavors in a setting that captures the island's rich culinary heritage. The experience extends to GAIA House of Grill, showcasing premium cuts and refined grilled specialties; Chez Charlie, offering a contemporary take on French brasserie dining; and Zázá, where chef Erik Bruner-Yang's collaboration brings a distinctive perspective to the bold flavors of Southeast Asia, infused with the energy of the Caribbean.

The Palm Tropical Lounge offers a refined, tropical interpretation of the classic hotel bar, adding another distinctive dimension to the resort's culinary and social scene. Complemented by Mediterranean-inspired dining, sophisticated lounges and the immersive cultural experience of the Rum Bar & Theatre, JOIA Rose Hall offers a distinctive culinary journey defined by global influences, memorable settings and the warmth of Jamaican hospitality.

The resort's cocktail program will be led by award-winning mixology partner Giacomo Giannotti, whose bar in Barcelona, Paradiso, is recognized among The World's 50 Best Bars. Giannotti will bring the island's spirit and character to life through a thoughtfully crafted botanical cocktail menu, which spotlights a signature cocktail with sorrel as the main ingredient, ensuring a root-to-stem philosophy.

The property's musical offering will connect guests with Jamaica's vibrant creative culture. Under the direction of JOIA Music Curator, Soledad Rodríguez, specially designed music tracks will shape the ambiance throughout the resort, complemented by live performances and nightly entertainment featuring local artists and celebrating the island's music, dance and traditions.
