Leonardo Hotels expands to Schwerin
Leonardo Hotels is continuing to expand its presence in Germany. Following the acquisition of a former IntercityHotel, the company is now set to launch for the very first time in Schwerin, the state capital of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The hotel will initially operate under the white label name of Hotel Schwerin City Center by Leonardo Hotels whilst extensive renovation works are undertaken. All rooms and bathrooms are being updated together with the corridors and public areas in order to create the tried and tested Leonardo Hotels look and feel. An air conditioning system is also being installed. Once the programme of works has been completed, the property will be integrated into the Leonardo brand portfolio as the Leonardo Schwerin City Center.

The hotel will offer 180 rooms alongside a restaurant and seven flexible conference rooms, some of which can be combined to provide an events space capable of accommodating up to 140 people. These facilities are aimed at individual business travellers as well as at companies which appreciate centrally situated premises for meetings and events.
The hotel boasts good transport connections thanks to its location right next to the main railway station. Rapid access to the city centre is available at the same time.
Schwerin’s status as the capital of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania makes it both an important administrative hub and an appealing place to visit. Its cityscape is characterised by the historic old quarter. Schwerin Castle and Lake Schwerin are further highlights.
The acquisition in Schwerin took place on 1 November and is part of the integration of the former REVO hotel portfolio.
