Meliá Hotels International to Bring ME by Meliá to Asia with The Kasem House Bangkok Hotel
Meliá Hotels International, a leading Spanish hotel group, has announced the addition of The Kasem House Bangkok Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 24, which will become Asia’s first ME by Meliá property. Through its long-standing partnership with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), Meliá will manage the hotel from 6 November 2026. It will operate under its interim name until the end of 2027, while undergoing its brand transformation.
Situated just steps from Phrom Phong BTS Station and Bangkok’s premier EM District, the hotel sits in the heart of one of the city’s most vibrant shopping, dining and lifestyle hubs. It features 280 spacious rooms and suites, a rooftop infinity pool with panoramic skyline views, and dining venues including an Italian restaurant and rooftop bar. Extensive meeting, event and wedding facilities further enhance its appeal.
The planned transformation into Thailand’s first ME by Meliá hotel will introduce the brand’s distinctive approach to luxury lifestyle hospitality, where contemporary design, art, culture and social experiences take centre stage and connect guests with the creative pulse of Bangkok.
The addition builds on Meliá’s growing footprint in Bangkok, where it has operated INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit since 2023. Beyond Bangkok, Meliá’s partnership with AWC includes Meliá Chiang Mai, Meliá Koh Samui and Meliá Pattaya Hotel. The two companies plan to grow their combined portfolio to more than 3,000 rooms across Thailand by 2036.
