Meliá Hotels International Adds The Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 26 to Meliá Hotels & Resorts Portfolio
Meliá Hotels International, a leading Spanish hotel group, has announced the addition of The Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 26, which will join its flagship Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand in the Thai capital. Through its long-standing partnership with Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), Meliá will manage the hotel from 6 November 2026. It will operate under its interim name until the end of 2027, while undergoing its brand transformation.
Located in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit district, the hotel offers a contemporary city stay with 177 rooms and suites, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and flexible meeting and event facilities. Its central location provides easy access to the city’s shopping, entertainment and transport connections, making it a convenient base for both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel’s future transition to Meliá Hotels & Resorts will bring the brand’s signature Mediterranean warmth and service philosophy to the Thai capital, with an emphasis on warm, welcoming service and experiences that encourage guests to relax and connect meaningfully with the destination.
The addition builds on Meliá’s growing footprint in Bangkok, where it has operated INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit since 2023. Beyond Bangkok, Meliá’s partnership with AWC includes Meliá Chiang Mai, Meliá Koh Samui and Meliá Pattaya Hotel. The two companies plan to grow their combined portfolio to more than 3,000 rooms across Thailand by 2036.
