In New York, Gary Schweikert has been appointed as the new general manager of Jumeirah Essex House, as well as regional vice president of operations for the Americas. Schweikert joins Jumeirah from the Flagship Hospitality Group LLC. He has previously worked as managing director of the world-famous Plaza Hotel in New York, and regional vice president for Fairmont Hotels, and has held several senior management positions within Hilton Hotels Corporation.
