InterContinental Hotels Group PLC ("IHG") today announces that Mr Dale F. Morrison is to be appointed an additional independent Non-Executive Director of IHG. He will join the IHG Board with effect from 1 June 2011. Dale has been President and Chief Executive Officer of McCain Foods Limited (McCain), an international leader in the frozen food industry, with responsibility for its worldwide operations since 2004. McCain's products can be found in thousands of restaurants and supermarkets in more than 130 countries around the world. A food industry veteran, Dale's experience includes 10 years with General Foods, Inc., 14 years with PepsiCo, Inc. and 5 years with The Campbell Soup Company where he served as Chief Executive Officer.
