Stefan Buchs has been appointed as Vice President, Hotel Operations – Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts

Based in London, Mr Buchs is responsible for supervising all existing hotel operations and upcoming developments in EMEA as well as those in Seychelles and Mauritius. In addition, Mr Buchs is in charge of developing the Group’s EMEA business through new opportunities. Mr Buchs replaces Mr Bernold O. Schroeder. In his new role, Mr Buchs reports to Mr Ho Kwon Ping, Executive Chairman, Banyan Tree Holdings. Mr Buchs has built a wealth of experience at large-scale premier properties with deluxe facilities and spas in Europe. Prior to joining Banyan Tree, he was Vice President, CHI Hotels & Resorts, a high-end hotel management company and the exclusive operator and developer for the luxury Corinthia brand. Mr Buchs’ appointment is in line with the need for additional talents as the Group implements its global growth plan and responds to the growing demand for Banyan Tree properties in the EMEA region.
