Mr Fareid Taheri has been appointed General Manager of Rydges Plaza Cairns and commences his role today, Monday 2 April. He takes up the position following the transfer of Lisa Krause to Darwin. With a hospitality career spanning 10 years, Mr Taheri has held a number of food and beverage management positions across Australia and in the US for the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. For the past year, Mr Taheri was Regional Food and Beverage Manager for Rydges Hotels and Resorts in Sydney, namely the group’s North Sydney, Cronulla and Capital Hill properties. In announcing his appointment, Area General Manager of Rydges Hotels and Resorts in Cairns, Matthew Hurley said Taheri’s strong background in food and beverage makes him perfectly suited to take the reins from Ms Krause.
