Makoto Earnie Yasuhara has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Guam Resort & Spa

Yasuhara brings to Guam over 30 years of international hotelier experience and will oversee all hotel operations starting April 15. Yasuhara started his career in the Hilton Tokyo sales department and then transferred to Nikko Hotels International. He has served in various management positions from director of international sales, assistant general manager to general manager. He has gained a wealth of international experience working in various countries from Japan, US, China and Vietnam. He held the position of general manager at the Hotel Nikko Pudong Shanghai, as well as executive level positions at Nikko Flagship properties - VP and deputy general manager at the Hotel Nikko San Francisco and assistant general manager at the former Hotel Nikko Beverly Hills. Yasuhara holds a Master of Professional Studies from Cornell University. Hilton Guam Resort and Spa has also appointed Yoshihito Shibahata as assistant general manager for the hotel. Shibahata, former director of rooms for the Hyatt Regency Guam, will assist in the overall operations of the property.
