Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has named Karl Chase director of sales & marketing for The Heldrich Hotel and Conference Center, located in the heart of New Brunswick, New Jersey. Ted Davis, Benchmark’s senior vice president sales & marketing, made the announcement. Karl Chase was most recently director of sales & marketing and interim general manager for The Hotel ML, located in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. During his tenure there, the hotel led the region in market share and successfully rebranded from a chain hotel to an independent property. For most of his career, Mr. Chase has served in senior sales leadership positions for properties in Chicago, New Jersey, Colorado and in Michigan, where he attended Western Michigan University. Chase has relocated to the New Brunswick area.
