Previously, Arena was the general manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Malvern, Pa. where he helped propel the guest service scores into the top 10% of the Courtyard brand. Arena has held a variety of positions with other companies including Penn Oaks Golf Club, Residence Inn by Marriott, Wyndham Hotels, Crescent Hotels, Parcels Incorporated and The Shipley Grill/Arena's Famous Delicatessen, a 4-star upscale American-Bistro style restaurant and catering facility that he personally owned and operated until 2002. Last year, Arena was awarded the White Lodging General Manager of the Year 2012 Acquisition-Select Service Award.
