Stuart Wareman has been appointed as European Director of Strategic Alliances & Partnerships at Marriott International

Marriott International has appointed Stuart Wareman to the newly created role of Director of Strategic Alliances & Partnerships, Europe, effective immediately. Stuart will work alongside the Marriott Marketing team based at their London head office on Fetter Lane. Wareman’s duties will include managing and maximising Marriott’s existing partnership relations in Europe, which include major airlines, credit cards and car hire companies. Wareman will also be supporting Marriott brand marketing in activating existing brand partnerships, including the Rugby Football Union in England and German Golf Association in Germany. In addition, a key part of his role will be to identify new partnership opportunities across Europe. Wareman joins after ten years at MEC Access, a leading partnership marketing consultancy, where, as a Business Director, he led the event sponsorship team and advised clients including Marriott, Visa Europe, Danone, United Biscuits, BT and Lloyds on sponsorship strategy, activation and measurement. Before MEC, Stuart worked in a range of PR and Marketing roles, including as an Account Manager at WSM Communications and an Account Executive at both former travel PR specialist Marketeer and in the Consumer PR division of The Communication Group.
