Marion Richter has been appointed as Director of Group Sales for Central Europe at Preferred Hotel Group

In her new role, Ms. Richter will provide global sales support for groups and events on behalf of member hotels across the Preferred Hotel Group family of brands with a specific focus on developing the MICE segment in the German market. Bringing more than 14 years of international sales and marketing experience to her post, Ms. Richter most recently served as Destinations Management Manager for the German National Tourist Board (GNTB), which involved promoting the region to Asia and Australian markets and selling key GNTB products to corporate clients, tour partners, and key German travel industry partners. Previously, Ms. Richter served as Regional Director Europe for the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), where her responsibilities included representation of the company’s interests in Europe and increasing the European PATA membership by 20 percent. Previous tenures include positions with Qantas Airways and Tourism Australia. Ms. Richter holds a Certificate from the College of Hotel Management and has completed an Apprenticeship at the Canadian Pacific Frankfurt Plaza Hotel.
