Alan L. Smith has been named General Manager at Boston Marriott Cambridge

Alan L. Smith
Smith brings a wealth of executive level experience to his new post at the Cambridge hotel. Most recently, he served as general manager of the historic 315-room Courtyard Boston Downtown. Prior leadership roles have included resident manager at Boston Marriott Cambridge; director of finance and accounting at Boston Marriott Copley Place; controller at Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, VA; and controller at Greenbelt Marriott in Greenbelt, MD. Smith holds a bachelor of science, with distinction, from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. He is a member of the Cornell Hotel Society. Smith was chairman of the Boston Marriott Business Council from 2007 through 2009, during which the council was twice nominated by the company as Best Overall Council and once as Business Council of the Year.
