Nor1, the technology leader in Upsell solutions, today announced the expansion of its global business development organization to Singapore, which is to be led by Allan Taylor. Allan recently joined the Silicon Valley-based company as Vice President Asia Pacific - Business Development. The move is in response to growing demand in the region for Nor1's suite of data-driven Upsell solutions. Allan joins Nor1 from IDeaS, where he was Managing Director – Greater China, focused on the setup and development of its regional structure across the Peoples Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Allan brings more than two decades of successful regional, international and global sales and marketing experience across the hospitality industry.

On November 18, 2020, Oracle announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Nor1. The acquisition extends Oracle Hospitality's OPERA Cloud Suite by adding Nor1's Merchandising platform that enables hotels to provide personalized offers throughout the guest journey using AI & machine learning, thereby improving guest engagement, and driving incremental revenue and improved loyalty for hotels.
