Mr Rob von Hartitzsch has been appointed General Manager of Rydges Plaza Cairns. He took up his position last month following the transfer of former General Manager, Fareid Taheri to QT Resort Falls Creek (operating formerly as Quay West Resort & Spa). With a hospitality career spanning 16 years, Mr von Hartitszch has held a number of food and beverage management positions across Australia and New Zealand, most recently as the Food and Beverage Manager of Rydges Wellington’s from its pre-opening phase to now. He also worked as the Food and Beverage Manager of James Cook Hotel in Wellington for two years as well as the Wellington Park Royal. Rob also spent two years in Melbourne where he held food and beverage management roles for both Melbourne Centra and Travelodge hotels.
