Gordon Humbert has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Omaha

Gordon Humbert
Humbert brings over three decades of hospitality experience to his new role. A native of California, he began his hotel career in 1978 at the Westin Miyako Hotel in San Francisco, holding various food and beverage positions before joining Hilton San Francisco Union Square as convention services manager in 1981. He subsequently held management positions of ascending importance in convention services and catering at Hilton Los Angeles Airport, The Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel, and Hilton Minneapolis, where he was appointed resident manager. In 2002 Gordon was then named general manager of DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel & Conference Center Chicago-Downers Grove. While at this property, Humbert was responsible for the development of Esplanade Lakes by Doubletree, a spectacular banquet facility adjacent to the hotel. He also managed a complete renovation of the property. In 2010, Humbert was named general manager of Hilton Rosemont Chicago O'Hare, managing a conversion of the former Sofitel Chicago O'Hare. The property was subsequently awarded the AAA Four Diamond Award, as well as received Hilton Worldwide's Conversion of the Year Award. Humbert currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Dupage Visitors & Convention Bureau, and was treasurer of the Downers Grove Economic Development Corporation.
