When asked how he feels about coming back to the Land of Smiles, Hoogewijs says, "It's great to be back in bustling Bangkok. The vibe of the city is just incredible, and it feels more energetic than ever." A native of Belgium, Hoogewijs has worked in 13 countries so far, and views every move as a new adventure. He lived his life according to the mantra of Four Seasons long before he joined the company in 2004. "It's such a valid philosophy," he explains. "As long as you treat people the way you want to be treated yourself, you can survive anywhere."
