Dusit International announced yesterday that Dean Huntsman has been appointed
general manager of the Dusit Thani Guam Resort, which is expected to open by the
third quarter this year.Huntsman joins the Dusit International team with more than 20
years of experience in the hospitality field, according to Dusit International.
He worked with the Jumeirah Group as director of operations, followed by a stint as
hotel manager of the Jumeirah Essex House Hotel in New York City.
Before joining the Jumeirah Group, he spent more than 15 years with Hyatt Hotels and
Resorts in rooms division and sales and marketing roles in various locations including
Guam, Oman, Indonesia, South Korea, China, Hong Kong and Australia, Dusit
International stated.
Huntsman holds a bachelor's degree in hotel management from Les Roches Hotel
Management School in Switzerland.
