Meliá Hotels International announces that Markella Votsi has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for ME London, the ME by Meliá brand’s flagship, five-star property. In September 2013, Votsi began her role as the property's manager and this month, she will begin leading the sales and marketing teams at the cutting-edge, design-forward hotel. In her new role, Votsi will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring the execution of the sales strategy to maximise both revenue and occupancy levels in order to keep the hotel at the forefront of its competition. Prior to joining ME London, Votsi was the Director of Sales for the Millennium Gloucester & Bailey’s Hotels where she increased corporate rates, doubled the volume of residential meetings and developed a new high-end business and leisure base, among other accomplishments. Previously she was the Director of Business Sales for Hilton Worldwide in London and before that, was the Assistant Director of Sales at The Langham Hotel in London.
