Guido Farina has been appointed as General Manager at Shanti Maurice a Nira Resort

Shanti Maurice, the luxury boutique resort in Mauritius, has welcomed its new General Manager, Guido Farina. Mr. Farina will replace Mr Duarte Correia, who is to be General Manager at a new Nira Yana hotel, which opens on Pemba Island, Zanzibar in December. Originally from Bergamo in Italy, Mr. Farina has over 23 years experience in hospitality, having worked at an extensive range of resorts across five continents. Over the past five years he has worked at luxury properties in Asia, including The Datai Langkawi, Malaysia, The Nam Hai in Vietnam, The Zuri Whitefield in Bangalore, India and most recently, the Lone Pine Hotel in Penang, Malaysia. Mr. Farina has also worked for hotel groups in the Middle East including Jumeirah and Le Méridien, as well as properties in Europe such as The Savoy Hotel in London and The Grand Hotel Gardone Riviera. In addition, he brings to Nira an extensive wealth of experience in the food and beverage arena, having worked at restaurants including the three-Michelin starred Da Vittorio in Bergamo, Italy. He is also a certified Sommelier.
