Paul Bayliss has been appointed as Chair at the Manchester Hoteliers Association

Paul Bayliss
The association is dedicated to championing the vibrant Manchester hotel scene and gives hotel managers a voice on important issues such as marketing and tourism activities. The group is critical in ensuring that the city can accommodate visitors that help make Manchester’s large events and festivals a success. With 24 years of experience in the hotel industry, Paul has been involved with the Association since 2009 and brings a wealth of leadership experience and knowledge of tourism in Manchester to the role. In his new role as Chair, Paul will identify challenges in Manchester for the hotel sector and work with a committee to tackle key issues, including marketing, tourism activities, careers and charity events.Paul helped to launch the Macdonald Hotels Academy earlier in 2014, which helps young people into the employment in the industry through apprentice schemes. Beginning his career in the military, Paul received a World Class Chef/Solider Apprenticeship at the renowned Army School of Catering.
