Jordi E. Tarrida has been appointed as General Manager at Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa

Jordi E. Tarrida, a German national, will take over from Fernando Gibaja who has moved from Spain to Dubai to embark on a new role as General Manager of Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. Before joining Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa, Jordi E. Tarrida worked at Trump Turnberry Resort in Scotland where he was the General Manager for three years. Prior to this he was Area Manager for Arabella Golf & Spa Resort and General Manager for the St. Regis Mardavall Resort both in Mallorca. Jordi E. Tarrida has held a number of senior international Sales and Marketing positions in Europe including Director of Marketing at the Palace Hotel Madrid, Area Director of Marketing for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Spain and Portugal, Director of Sales at the Sheraton Hotel Frankfurt and Sheraton Hotel in Abu Dhabi. In his new role, which became effective on 1 September 2014, Jordi E. Tarrida will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel, leading the team at the resort to continued success.
