Martin Cody has been appointed as Lodge Manager at Four Seasons Safari Lodge, Serengeti

Martin Cody
Martin Cody has been named Lodge Manager at Four Seasons Safari Lodge, Serengeti, the 77-room lodge that has offered guests once-in-a-lifetime African wildlife and cultural experiences since December 2012. Cody, a true explorer at heart who's been a member of Four Seasons Hotels and Resort teams in London, Hawaii, Langkawi and the Maldives since 2001, brings unique insights from working in stunning remote locations and a warm, team-oriented approach to his new role in the Serengeti, one of the world's last wild places that is home to elephants, cheetahs, lions and even notoriously hard-to-spot leopards. Cody will oversee all operations of The Lodge, which includes a two-story great house with guest rooms and suites as well as five free-standing villas, all with stunning views of the Serengeti landscape. Ideal for couples and families, The Lodge is one of the first on the continent to welcome children ages eight and older, a significant milestone for families with young ones and teens. Since 2001, Cody has worked in progressively senior positions with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Most recently, he was with Four Seasons Resorts Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, serving for two years as Resort Manager and previously as Director of Rooms, where he oversaw operations of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Spa, Dive Centre, Recreation, Resort Shop and Marine Biology Centre departments. He joined the team at Landaa Giraavaru in October 2010 following his six-month tenure as Assistant Director of Rooms with Four Seasons Resort Langkawi at the edge of the rainforest in Malaysia, where he was responsible for Front Office, Housekeeping and Recreation department operations. His prior positions included two years as Assistant Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Resorts Lana'i in Hawaii, 24 months with Four Seasons Resorts Maldives at Kuda Huraa as Front Office Manager, and five years as Night Manager at Four Seasons Park Lane in London. He joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts following his 2001 graduation from Shannon College of Hotel Management in his native Ireland.

Martin Cody is an alumnus of Shannon College of Hotel Management – Class of 2001.
