Hyatt Regency Boston today announces the selection of Terry Dunbar as general manager. In this role, Dunbar will be responsible for all aspects of Hyatt Regency Bostons sales, marketing, financial, human resources and hotel operations. Dunbar joins Hyatt Regency Boston with extensive experience in the hospitality industry and 26 years with Hyatt, most recently from Hyatt Regency Jersey City, where he served as general manager for the past four years.
Prior to joining Hyatt, Dunbar owned and operated a 48-room hotel in Edgeworthtown, Longford and Percy French Hotel in Strokestown, Ireland.
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, this is somewhat of a homecoming having originally arrived to Boston 26 years ago. Dunbar graduated from the Regional College of Galway earning a higher diploma in Hotels and Catering Management. With a passion for enhancing partnership and relationships through the city, Dunbar looks forward to building community relations in Boston. Dunbar is an avid cyclist and runner.
