Allen has a long history with Hyatt, which spans 28 years and various roles throughout North America and the Caribbean. Most recently, Allen was General Manager, Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, CA, near San Diego, California. Prior to his role in San Diego, Scott held General Manager positions at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza, Los Angeles; Hyatt Regency La Jolla, San Diego and Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino in the Dutch Caribbean. Allen began his hospitality career in the food and beverage division at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida in 1986. From there, Allen was promoted to posts throughout the country as Food & Beverage Director. His first General Manager role was appointed in 1997 at Hyatt on Printer’s Row in Chicago, Illinois. Allen is married to Jan and has five children ages 20 – 28; and one grandchild, little Sophia. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, especially golfing and watersports.
