Nicole Whitaker has been appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing at YVE Hotel Miami by Destination Hotels

Host Hotels & Resorts, the nation’s largest lodging real estate investment trust, in conjunction with Destination Hotels, the largest operator of independent hotels and resorts in North America, announced today the appointment of Nicole Whitaker as Director of Sales and Marketing at the new YVE Hotel Miami (YVE). The 243-room property which launched December 2014 is ideally situated in the heart of downtown Miami at 146 Biscayne Blvd. Whitaker has worked in hospitality sales and marketing for the past 12 years, including seven years with Destination Hotels representing properties in Vail, Colorado. Whitaker served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Manor Vail Lodge for the past five years where she saw the property through a repositioning after a $100 million renovation. She also made a significant impact on total revenue generation through marketing, group, transient and catering/banquet sales alongside two food and beverage outlets. Whitaker was immersed in the Vail community and served on multiple boards to gain exposure for the Manor Vail Lodge. She was nominated three years in a row for “Young Professional of the Year” and her work was recognized for “Local Marketing Campaign of the Year.” Whitaker was also a nominee for “Sales Leader of the Year” in 2013 on behalf of Destination Hotels. For the past six years, she has served as Vice President of the Board of Directors and has been a performer of the non-profit Vail Valley Theatre Company.
