Erika DiProfio DiProfio is a San Diego county resident with more than 15 years experience in hospitality marketing for leading restaurant and consumer brands. Most recently, DiProfio served as vice president of marketing & public relations of Slater’s 50/50, an innovative casual dining southern California restaurant company. While there, she led the $40-million, marketing-centric company through an explosive growth period, successfully expanding from two to seven restaurants within a four year period. Prior to joining Slater’s 50/50, DiProfio managed an array of integrated marketing strategies and programs for the Bailey Gardiner creative agency in the role of public relations and social media account supervisor, where her clients included The San Diego Museum of Art and Cucina Urbana, just to name a few. Earlier, DiProfio spent seven years with Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp (operators of Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes), where she began as divisional marketing manager and later advanced to integrated communications manager. While there, DiProfio created and managed all local, regional and national public relations and marketing campaigns, achieving a record high return on investment for the national restaurant chain. With a passion for marketing and her alma mater, DiProfio is an instructor at San Diego State University and oversees the campus’s student-run media agency Arrow Media Group. She also teaches social media strategy at San Diego State University’s College of Extended Studies.
