Jean-Yves Blatt
A little more than a year after The Chedi Andermatt’s remarkable debut, the hotel’s management company, GHM, has named a permanent replacement to the pre-opening / launch general manager. Jean-Yves Blatt assumes charge of the acclaimed 101-room hotel today, March 4, succeeding the property’s first GM, Alain Bachmann, who relocated in July to Indonesia where he now leads another GHM property, The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah Ubud in Bali. Since 2005, Blatt has worked at the Grand Park Hotel in Gstaad, for the past six years as general manager. Previously, he worked at the Lausanne Palace Spa and Hotel Le Mirador (now Le Mirador Kempinski) in Mont-Pèlerin. A 50-year-old native of Switzerland, and a graduate of the famed Lausanne Hotel School, Blatt’s career in hospitality is distinguished by its concentrated focus — in Switzerland and with properties clustered among the upper ranks of the world’s most esteemed hotels.

Jean-Yves Blatt is an alumnus of EHL Hospitality Business School – Class of 1990.
