Michael B. Gaehler has been appointed as General Manager at The Regent Taipei

The Regent Taipei is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael B. Gaehler as the leading luxury hotel's new General Manager. Gaehler brings more than 15 years of hospitality leadership experience to the role. Gaehler first joined FIH Regent Group in 2009 as General Manager of Silks Place Taroko, overseeing the re-branding and renovation of the property. He returned to FIH Regent in 2013 as Group General Manager Pre-Opening and played a major role in launching both the international and local brands of FIH and Regent Group. A graduate of the Swiss Hotel Management School Belvoirpark in Zurich, Gaehler started his hotel career at some of Europe's leading boutique hotels such as Villa il Tessoro in Tuscany, Hotel Le Vieux Manoir in Murten, and Hotel Giardino in Ascona. Following this, Gaehler moved to Asia, where he worked with the Jia Causeway Bay in Hong Kong and GHM's Hotel The Chedi Chiang Mai. Gaehler also helped launch GHM's Ananti Kumgang Mountain in North Korea, the country's first five-star resort.

Michael B. Gaehler is an alumnus of Belvoirpark Hotelfachschule Zurich – Class of 1992.
