Amit Midha has been appointed General Manager of Conrad Pune that is scheduled to open in Q4 2015. The launch of Conrad Pune will mark the global luxury brand’s entry into India. Conrad Hotels & Resorts is part of the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands. Amit Midha took charge on May 11, 2015, and he reports to Daniel Welk, Vice President, Operations - India, Hilton Worldwide. Amit has over 16 years of experience in opening and operating luxury hotels with hospitality companies like The Oberoi Group, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Marriott Hotels and the Jumeirah Group. Most recently Amit held General Manager positions with Courtyard by Marriott and Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort. Prior to that, he served as Room Division Manager for The Oberoi, Gurgaon. He has also held positions in Front Office with The Oberoi Group in Jaipur, Kolkata and Chennai, and served in various capacities with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Marriott Hotels in India and the Jumeirah Group in the Middle East.
